Duty Statement: 

This position is primarily responsible for providing operationalsupport for complex Enterprise Applications. This role works with users acrossHCN member centers in direct support of business needs.


  • Responsible for supporting and monitoring thefunctionality of applications hosted in our network environment. Enterpriseapplications such as: Medical and Dental practice management, EHR systems,behavioral health systems, informatics tools, Microsoft products and fiscalapplications.

  • Identifies trends, provides analyzes, documents issues andimplements solutions relating to the application functionality.

  • Contributes to the development of SOP and policies andprocedures governing how to troubleshoot issues, including identification,documentation, distribution and resolution.

  • Creates, tracks, and prioritizes assignments in the changemanagement system.

  • Delivers workflow and designated implementation bestpractices to HCN Associates and Member Centers

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretionin matters of significance

  • Responsible for contributing and maintaining theapplication knowledge, by creating articles and white papers

  • Generates, analyzes and interprets trends through creatingreports for presentation to executives in operational meetings.

  • Tests applications to ensure minimal disruption to thebusiness. Facilitates the deployment of end state solutions and upgrades

  • After hours to support critical application issues.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for This Position to Be Successful:

  • Knowledge of Healthcare information systems Medical and Dental Practice Management, EHR systems, behavioral health systems, informatics tools, Microsoft products and fiscal applications.

  • Knowledge of Healthcare and/or Community Health Center operational practices including clinical operations, revenue cycle management and informatics.

  • Knowledge of Quality Performance initiatives.

  • Knowledge of Change Management System.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

  • Must be an analytical thinker and could resolve issues quickly

  • Ability to identify and manage critical issues with a sense of urgency. 

  • Ability to perform position responsibilities with minimal supervision; self-starter.

Education and Experience:

  • 5years of experience in an IT-related position and/or Bachelor’s Degree in acomputer related field, or equivalent combined experience.

  • Preferredqualifications: Previous experience in community health center, medical officeor dental office setting and/or knowledge of Healthcare Information Systems.

  • Preferredcertifications: IT related certifications, customer service certifications, andmembership of organizations or associations directly related to the Health Careindustry.
